Mechanical ventilation and heat recovery
Mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR) systems are increasingly popular to:

We supply and install Zehnder centralised mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems to new homes under construction or during major renovations. Our service includes full installation of the heat exchanger and ductwork as well as careful system commissioning to ensure your system works flawlessly.
For minor retrofit applications we can also supply and install decentralised units; these can make sense where the homeowner is looking to improve indoor air quality without undertaking major renovations.
Heating and cooling
The cost of heating and cooling a home can often contribute gastronomically to energy bills. On average, Victorian households can spend up to $800 a year, or a third of their energy bill, on heating.

Upgrading from any electric or gas hot water unit is one of the easiest things homeowners can do to reduce their energy costs.
We ensure our heat pumps operate optimally by ensuring all pipework is carefully insulated and the heat pumps located to perform at their optimum. We also help homeowners program the controllers to best match their water usage patterns and to best utilise their solar power (if any).
Heat pump hot water is a fantastic complement to solar power – by programming the heat pump to heat the storage tank during the middle of the day you have a highly leveraged, efficient thermal battery. Combining the two systems can result in maximum energy cost savings.
Blower door testing
The blower door draws in outside air through leakage points, determining the areas you need to address in order to achieve the best airtightness result possible for your home.
Even if you have decided to not have your home certified Passivhaus, you might still want to have it checked for air leakages/draughts. We are Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association (ATTMA) certified and have the latest technology to be able to do this for you.
